Our story
The Imberti family is originally from the province of Bergamo and for five generations has operated in the wood importation and processing industry. Over 50 years ago Vito Arturo Imberti fell in love with these hills, a love that was crowned by the purchase of Fattoria Le Fonti.
Today his children Franca, Ferdinando and Giovanni, and his nephew Mattia tend to the over 140 hectares estate, of which 24 are vineyards, cultivated according to the principles of organic farming. In addition to the great wines of the Tuscan tradition, the Imberti family produces extra-virgin Chianti Classico DOP olive oil and cereals, while a large part of the farmland is kept as forest and used for fauna and a game reserve.
The passion for agriculture and outdoor life, for the magic of the seasonal change, the desire to offer high quality wines and olive oil produced with utmost attention to the sustainability of processes, the love for the Tuscan historical and artistic heritage: all this profoundly connects the Imberti family to this land.
