Vinsanto in Tuscany is the wine for welcoming, we keep producing it in the traditional way by drying the grapes in the original dedicated cellar.
GRAPES
Trebbiano and Malvasia.
VINEYARD AND VITICULTURE
Location: in the westernmost part of the Chianti Classico production area.
Altitude: 300 m a.s.l.
Exposure: South – South West.
Soil: soils with balanced texture rich in stones and with poor fertility.
Training system: VSP guyot pruned.
Harvesting: manual in 20 kg boxes around 20th September.
VINIFICATION AND AGING
The grapes are dried for two and a half months under the rooftop of the old cellar on racks. In December, after further sorting, they are pressed with traditional basket press, the fermentation takes place in casks for at least seven years.
TASTING NOTES
Color: amber color with golden reflections
Perfume: elegant and complex
In the mouth: sweet, full-bodied, very dense and persistent.
